The Hunt

The hunt continues.
It is discouraging when you have made two offers on houses, each house had no other offers when you saw it, but the next day when you put your offer in, it has 12.
Ridiculous.

Going on a House Hunt . . .

. . . gonna find a foreclosure.
'Cuz that's all there is here.
I've seen my fair share of dirty, water-damaged, no doorknob or handles houses.
But we finally find one we like :) . . . tomorrow we put in an offer and hopefully we'll get it.
The market is crazy here so we are praying a lot.
What happens will happen though . . .
So the hunt may continue . . .

A Greater Love

Attention: We have actually discovered something that Kacin loves more than food!!

Our Moving Truck!!!

For the last 3 days, all I have heard about and been asked about is the big moving truck.

But I didn't know his true affection until this morning when I returned from walking. He had been up since 6 am excited about the truck and was outside helping Eric load a few more boxes. When I got there, I asked Kacin if he was ready for breakfast and he replied . . . "No, not right now, maybe later." I was in SHOCK. My Kacin? Turning down food?! I was really happy for him, just a little taken aback.

His love for the diesel continued to show whenever we returned home from errands today. He would run out of our car straight to the truck and attempt to give it a big hug.

He promised and succeeded in being really obedient tonight so he could ride in the truck again tomorrow.

:)

Aww, Love!

I Saw . . .

Over the last few days,
I saw . . .

*S'mores being enjoyed by the Rogers and Heustis family

*Projectile puke on my back porch

*A yard with a flower "bed" (no really, they have brass bedposts in the middle of their yard with flowers in place of a mattress)

*A frog, lots of pretty flowers, and green grass at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens (and some cool friends)

*A stroller going up the stairs

*Two dads dipping their children's heads in a fountain

*A Mohawk

*A pirate looking at RVs (no joke!)

*A BIG Budget truck in front of our house ready to be loaded for Moving Part 1

*Rainclouds :) (Keep sending the rain, please!)

*A bacon burger from JCW's (this one disappeared quickly)

*Kyler and Kacin counting all of the boxes we loaded up from my classroom and concluding it was just too many to count (Agreed.)

*Only out of my left eye for 2 hours! It keeps happening! The right eye was all blurry for no reason and then all of the sudden got better. I tell you, I am going blind. But I also saw the calendar today so I made an eye-drs appointment (It was past time anyways).
*Eric still has blue toenails

Nail Polish

When I first met Eric, he taught me that wearing black nail polish on your toes helps you wake board better. He and Devon were avid wake boarders with black toenails. I might have thought it was a little weird, but Eric was cute, so you have to make allowances.

After being married to Eric for 5 1/2 years, he taught me every day is an adventure--you never know what Eric is going to do. Last night, he ended up with dark blue toenails. I might have thought it was a little weird, but we were bonding as he joined me in painting nails, so you have to make allowances.

For some reason, we couldn't convince him to wear flip-flops to work today . . .

Games, Grillin', and Glasses

We spent the evening of Memorial Day with our good neighbors, the Heustis Family. Of course, we started out the afternoon with a riveting game of Ticket to Ride. Eric won, but we won't mention the fact that he beat us by about 100 points! Owen stepped in for Mike . . .

We had a delicious dinner and ate outside under the pergola. It was such a nice day! As you can see from the pictures . . .

We picked up Kacin's new glasses today. The other ones were broken and repaired in 3 different places. It was time for a new pair of glasses. This is the cuteness that Kacin is in the glasses he picked out . . .

Not Another Boy!

My cute sister Stefanie is pregnant. When she found out what she was having, my conversation with the boys went something like this . . .

Me: Aunt Stefanie and Uncle Tyson just found out if they're having a boy or a girl. What do you think Aunt Stefanie is having?
Kyler: A girl!!
Kacin: I think it's a boy.
Me: Well, she is having a little boy!! Isn't that cool?
Kacin: Yay! I was right! It's a boy. That was my vote!
Kyler: No, it's a girl. I don't want it to be a boy.
Me: I'm sorry Kyler. You really wanted her to have a girl, but she's having a little boy.
Kyler: (pouting and really mad) Well, I'm never talking to her again!!

(Sorry Stefanie, I'm sure when he sees his new baby cousin he will be so excited that he's a boy and start talking to you again!)

Last night, we were reading together about Abraham and Sarah. This sparked a conversation about Sarah not being able to have babies in her tummy like mommy hasn't been able to. This discussion brought to our remembrance and continued the conversation written above . . .

Eric: What if someday mommy has a baby in her tummy and it's a boy?
Kyler: No! I don't want another boy!
Eric: Well, what would you do if a boy came out.
Kyler: Then I'd just push him back inside her and change him into a girl!
